Double room in HUGE, bright apt

Hi, I'm looking for someone to take my place in an a really lovely apartment (one room available in a 2 bed apartment). I've been there 4 years and am moving abroad (otherwise I wouldn't move out!). The room is available from ideally October 16th, and can be short or long term let.

The room is a true bedroom, it?s a smaller double room (approx. 12.5ft x7.5ft) which fits a full size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and side table. There is an A/C unit already installed. It is on the smaller side but makes up for it by having lots of light and being in a very large shared apartment, with shared storage space.

The apartment itself is in great condition - with a separate kitchen, dining room and lounge. There are high ceilings and a hard wooden flooring throughout (tiles in bathroom, slate in the kitchen). The apartment also gets lots of light. There is a fire escape/balcony in the back of the apartment. The two bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment, and you really cannot hear any noise from one end to the other.

The apartment is on the top floor of a 3 floor walk-up apartment block in a very convenient location in the Lower East Side. It's a block from where the shops, bars, and restaurants start (including the newly opened Essex Market with cinema, 100s of food vendors, Target, Trader Joes, etc). But it's also just far enough away from the weekend shenanigans. There are multiple gyms within 3 minutes walk. It's a 2 minute walk to Union Market, and a 10 minute walk to Whole Foods on Houston. The nearest subway is Delancey & Essex, but it's also a quick walk to Bleecker, Grand, 2nd Ave, and Bowery. It's located at the top of Lower East Side (one street below Houston), so it's a very quick walk to East Village and Soho, and then a 20-25 minute walk to Union Square and West Village.

There is a property management team who look after the building and are quick to respond to any problems that may arise.

The shared space apartment comes furnished with two sofas, dining room table (and benches), bookcases, all kitchen appliances/plates, etc. The available bedroom has a full sized bed.

The new roommate must be a professional, ideally between 30-45 years old.

The existing roommate is amazing, very social and great fun. She's a tech/financial services consultant. She works long hours and home is a chilled out, relaxing place. She's looking for someone who understands the roommate dynamic, will respect the shared space and is easy to get along with.

One months fully refundable security deposit is required to secure the apartment plus the first months rent upon moving in.

Utilities are not included but are approximately $100-120 a month depending on the time of year. This includes internet, cable (all sports and movie channels), gas and electric.
