Everything You Want: Gym, Laundry, Doorman, Roof

I just passed the 10 year mark living in New York. I've lived in every borough since first coming here for college, and this apartment that I'm in my seventh year in is an absolute dream.

It's an Upper East Side luxury room in a brand new building (I first moved in right when it opened in 2008) with 24 hour doorman, air conditioning, dishwasher, roof access, Verizon Fios cable/internet, bicycle storage, 24 hour gym, 24 hour laundry room and grill.

It's a three bedroom apartment with one male (me) and one female (not me, but great) roommate in each with no pets. We also have a full kitchen (gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, so many cupboards) and a gorgeous living room with a great view. We're looking for a male/female roommate for our 11'3 X 9'5 room.

I work as a music journalist and music teacher, so I never bring the party home as I get enough of it at work. We're chill, friendly and clean. I mean actually clean. I know that word gets tossed around other sites to the point where it may seem meaningless, but we both believe in a world where floors are Swiffered, garbage doesn't accumulate and dishes don't just chill in the sink like they own the place.

Speaking of which, there's a garbage chute AND recycling room on our floor so you don't even need to exit the building to take the garbage out.

Did I mention the BRAND NEW Laundry Room that just got added this year? The washer/driers have the latest in tricked out features including multiple wash options, and they all work like a breeze.

Move-in date is May 1st, ideally we're looking for someone who can ride with us through the end of the lease on October 1st, which will likely be renewed with the option for you to join us for the next year too.

Room comes with Bookshelves, Mirror, Floor Lamp, Night Stand, Bed (not pictured) and Huge Closet. Nobody's ever smoked in it. Nobody's ever had an animal in it. This room is all you.

We have a no smoking rule in the apartment, but you're welcome to smoke on the rooftop. It's a sweet roof as well, with furniture and everything.

Our apartment also has no drama. Not unlike the "clean" mention above, we're outstanding at communicating. No passive aggression, needless aggression or extra tasty crispy aggression here.

Best of all, our apartment has NO TIME WARNER CABLE. We proudly have Verizon Fios. If you've never suffered through the abomination that is Time Warner Cable, you may not get why that's such a big deal, and for that I envy you. But I digress, Verizon's always worked great for us and their customer service is excellent.

It's a great apartment in a great community. After a decade in New York living all over the city, this apartment is far and away the safest I've ever felt. Plus, the close proximity to the 4/5/6 trains makes absolutely every corner of our fair city accessible.
