Description
Hello! We are looking for a 3rd housemate to join us (and Garbonzo T. Cat) in a sunny end-unit row home in Waverly. (no couples or other pets will be considered)
The house is situated within walking distance to a community garden, grocery stores, bus routes, JHU, the Farmers Market, Library, and the YMCA. Street parking is plentiful. There is central air throughout (though it doesn’t work well upstairs), and there is a washer and dryer we share in the basement.
The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and a place loved and used often, it is clean and functional and we are looking to live with someone who values keeping it that way. We don’t have a dishwasher, or a microwave, and we compost our veggie scraps. Another thing to note is that our water pressure is low so it’s good to check with housemates before throwing in your laundry or jumping in the shower.
The house is fully furnished including the bedrooms.
About Me, Z:
A visual and performing artist who supports myself through my small business, Bower Bird Productivity. When I’m not with clients, I’m often at home during the day working on various projects: making art, playing music, building things, cooking, and gardening. I enjoy playing sports, reading, and dancing. I’m an early riser and tend to be in and out throughout the day. I try to practice music during times when housemates are out, but if our schedules clash, you might hear me playing old country or jazz tunes. I’ve lived here for six years, initially as a renter, and I purchased the house from my landlord three years ago.
About Övünç:
A friendly and considerate theoretical math student and a great housemate. He’s usually at school, in his room, or cooking in the kitchen. He isn’t picky about who he lives with but prefers a quiet environment at nighttime.
About Garbanzo:
A funny cat who spends his time trying to escape the house, napping, and demanding food (high pitched meow). He sometimes goes on the kitchen counters or lays on the dining room table.
About the room:
Hardwood floors (old and scuffed up and splintery, sorry!), Two windows. Furnished with: a bed, desk, dresser, and small closet. No additional storage space.
Available August 1st 2024
($600/month plus utilities)
Utilities: water, BGE, Internet and shared house supplies - usually runs about $100 to $150 per person
About you:
Kind, conscientious, and pay your rent on time. Great if you are a heavy sleeper (I (Z) am an early riser) No pets, no smokers, no couples, no children, no furniture in common areas including the basement. I’m looking for roommates who work outside the house during the day on weekdays (five days a week), clean up after themselves, and are enjoyable to be around. If you have a ton of ‘stuff’ this is not the house for you.
About Logistics:
You will need 1 month's rent ($600) plus a security deposit of 1.5 months rent ($900) to move in. We are very interested in finding the right person for the house - I spend a lot of time here, love it very much, and like a friendly environment with housemates.
Moving Forward:
If you are interested, please respond to this posting with some information about yourself and what you are looking for in a living situation. I will respond if I think it could be a good match.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
