Mebane Horse Farm

Please note this is a fabulous rental for the right person, and the current renter loves it, but it is not everyone’s cup of tea. This home is on a 30 acre horse farm that hosts a therapeutic horsemanship program, so clients and volunteers are onsite approximately four days a week for a few hours, and we host a few weeks of a half day inclusive summer camp. The farm is home to 8-10 horses, and occasionally friendly visiting dogs. Although the location is very quiet and feels remote, it is about 10 minutes to downtown Mebane, I40, Tanger Outlets, etc. 1/2 hour to Duke or UNC, 40 minutes to RDU, 5 minutes to Lake Michael.

Large furnished bedroom with private bath; a second smaller bedroom could potentially be made available as studio, work, etc space if needed. Garage parking, gated entrance to the farm. Extra storage space could potentially be made available. Kitchen and living spaces are shared - it’s a 3000 sq foot house so there is plenty of room. Upstairs shared laundry room. Sunrises, sunsets and stargazing are amazing. I work from home and care for the horses so someone is usually around, but it’s an excellent fit for a night shift worker as it is very quiet during the day (and at night, but it’s definitely quiet enough for daytime sleep). Pets are not an option at this time due to our insurance limitations.
