Room for rent in Large Downtown Hoboken Apartment

Hi All!

We have a room opening up July 1st, in our apartment located downtown in Hoboken close to the intersection 1st street and Park ave. So we are very close to the PATH and bus stops on Washington street. The room is on the smaller side, but we have plenty of space in the apartment for storage, as well as other cool perks. We also have a designated home office space on the second floor of the apartment, so you can have space to put a desk for WFH that is separate from the bedroom. This apartment has 2 bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom is shared by me and another current roommate, the downstairs bathroom is for the room available. You will be the only one using the shower in this bathroom, however I will note that this bathroom also functions as a shared bathroom/toilet for the living room area.

Some info about the building: we are in a garden and first floor duplex. There are living rooms on both floors, however the bottom floor living room is the main living room space. We use the upstairs living room as home office space. The available bedroom is on the bottom level towards the back of the apartment, so there is no street noise. We have also built a home gym in the den on the bottom level (see attached pictures), so if you are into lifting and fitness, that is a big plus. We have a 11’ by 11’ private back patio with a grill, outdoor chairs, and strung with outdoor lights which makes for a cozy spot to hang in the summer.

We have a washer/dryer in unit, and a half size dishwasher.

We have a driveway spot available for rent as well right out front the building. The landlord leases our driveway spots tandem separately for about $225 or $250 a month I believe, so not a bad deal considering how expensive parking garages are in Hoboken, also the convenience of it being right out front.

A little bit about us: Brendon and I are young professionals (24 y/o) that work in the finance and engineering industries in jersey city and Manhattan. We are both ex-college athletes, I played baseball and Brendon played soccer. We enjoy working out, music, video games, going out, cooking, and we are very laid back and easy to get along with. Additionally, I am a musician and play guitar and sing. You will rarely hear it though since my room is on the second floor and we have very thick walls. We also both work from home primarily, and have a home office set up on the second floor of the apartment. If you plan to work from home and don’t want your desk in your room, we have plenty of space in other areas of the apartment to put a desk.
