Seeking a Friendly and Reliable Roommate

Hey! I'm an enthusiastic female originally from Philadelphia but I moved to South Jersey when I was 12. I came to Central Jersey to attend Rutgers and got a bachelor's degree in Psychology. For several years, I instructed students with special needs but I am now shifting into a different field. My interests and hobbies include dance, camping, hiking, traveling, being at the beach, music festivals, playing pool, visiting art galleries, plays/concerts, amusement parks, and going out to bars or lounges with friends. I'm really down-to-earth and love meeting new people. I'm seeking a respectful, clean, laid-back roommate who's friendly, reliable, and cool! :)

Here's an overview of the apartment: It's a cozy, modern two-bedroom and is part of a complex that is located in a quiet, beautiful area in Old Bridge, NJ. There are several shops nearby including a 24 hour Wawa with a gas station down the street! The complex is off of Rt.18. It is 40 minutes from the beach, 15 minutes from New Brunswick, Garden State Parkway, and NJ Turnpike, and is about 7 minutes from East Brunswick which has a ton of restaurants and a mall.

There is plenty of parking available in the apartment complex and the spaces aren't assigned so if you have visitors, they can park wherever they choose. The complex's maintenance crew is extremely helpful! There's a garbage dumpster available in the parking lot and the laundry room is literally next door to the apartment! The machines in the laundry facility are card-operated so you won't need quarters to use them; you can just purchase a laundry card to wash your clothes.

All utilities are included except electricity and internet. Internet is $52.08 a month per tenant and the electricity bill varies according to usage. Expect to typically be paying $5-$10 a month for electricity. The only reason the bill would be on the higher end is if the central air is constantly running during the summer. I try to unplug appliances when I'm not using them to help keep the bill low :) The apartment complex makes it mandatory for the apartment's tenants to be covered by renter's insurance which we would split.

Cable isn't currently set up in the apartment (the guy who is moving out and I just streamed shows on our computers to avoid having to pay a cable bill.) You are welcome to purchase your own cable box (meaning you'd be responsible for the entire cable bill.) Also, I kindly ask that the television be placed in your room.

If you are interested in renting the room I will need one month's security deposit plus first month's rent. I will also need payment for internet and the renter's insurance. The cost for the insurance is $9.69 monthly (per tenant).

Kitchenware also comes with the rental (plates, bowls, cups, pots, pans, utensils, baking/cooking tools, knife block, etc.) If you are interested in the room please reply to this ad and include a short bio of yourself.
