Description
I live in a 2BR in Brookline, near Coolidge Corner, and am looking for a roommate to move in August 1. I am a male professional in my 30s and work at Harvard. I've been in this apartment for a long time so I can attest that there is no better deal for the price, size and location! Things are usually busy on my end between work, enjoying all there is to enjoy about living in the city and working on musical projects in my spare time (ask me to tell you about my international vocal group). But I'm home a fair amount as well and am very sociable. It's important for me to have a connection with my roommate even if we don't become best friends. I don't have people over too often and I like things pretty laid back during the week, but I do enjoy the company of a roommate and definitely hang out when I'm free.
I've lived and gotten along with both male and female roommates, and I would like the person to be a good handful of years out of college. I would also prefer not to live with someone who is brand new to the city. A recent import might be disappointed that my busy schedule won't allow me to be a great tour guide. Just putting it out there, but please do respond either way if you are interested.
I hope you'll take a moment to include something about yourself in your message since I've done the same :)
I can't stress enough how good of a deal this place is especially considering the location (one block from the St. Paul stop on the 'C' Green Line). The available bedroom has a walk-in closet. We have a dishwasher/disposal and there is coin-op laundry in the basement. Heat and hot water are included in the rent, and one half of the utilities each month (electricity, cable, FAST wireless internet) is usually around $110 (more in the summer if we're cranking the window A/Cs). HBO-lovers a plus, but not required!
Parking may be available in a nearby lot for an additional cost but it depends on availability.
