Description
Looking for two people to sign onto a September 1st lease in Bed-Stuy!
The Unit:
The apartment is located in the heart of Bed-Stuy, close to Tompkins Ave., Herbert Von King Park, and only a 5 minute walk to the C Train at Kingston-Throop.
The building has a basement gym that’s free to use for all tenants, as well as a finished roof deck with furniture. The unit was recently refurbished and has all modern appliances (in-unit washer / dryer, modern kitchen with a dishwasher, A/C and heat in each room, etc.). This will be my third year living in this unit, and I’ve had no real issues!
The apartment has 3 bedrooms (although only 2 available rooms) and two full bathrooms, one with a standing rainfall shower and the other has a tub/shower. The unit will be mostly unfurnished, apart from the couch and maybe a few other small items that the current tenants are willing to part with.
The Rooms:
Bedroom 01 - ($1350 + security deposit) This bedroom is a bit cozier, but has plenty of space to accommodate what you need. The current tenant has fit a dresser, large-screen TV, bed and a desk into this space with plenty of leftover room. It comes with a closet, in-room AC/Heater, and a large window which lets in a good amount of light.
Bedroom 02 - ($1650 + security deposit) This bedroom is the largest in the unit, and is at the front of the house off of the kitchen, so it’s also nice and private. There is ample space to fit what you need, a closet, in-room AC/Heater, and two large windows for lots of natural light.
About Me:
29-year-old white cisgender gay male (he/him)
I am the senior designer at a small graphic design studio in the city, specializing in branding / restaurants / packaging design, and with a specialty in hand-lettering. When I’m not working, I love to go to Prospect Park, meet for drinks with friends, watch a movie at home or work out at the gym.
I tend to be an introverted-extrovert, but even when I’m social I never bring the party home. I am told I’m super easy to get along with, and generally like to go with the flow—in my 12+ years of living with roommates, I’ve never run into any issues! I work from home one or two days a week, but not on a regular schedule and I tend to work out of my room without much noise apart from a client call occasionally.
About You:
I am ideally looking for others (all gender identities/expressions welcome!) that want a nice little haven away from the city, a place that feels cozy and home-y. I’m open to all levels of sociability, so whether you’re a total introvert or total extrovert we can get along well. That being said, I’m looking for someone who isn’t going to bring the party home or host frequently, and is generally courteous / conscious when it comes to their roommates.
When it comes to keeping the space clean, I tend to be a person that tidies after myself so I’m ideally looking for others that will do the same (just the standard stuff—washing dishes, dividing chores semi-regularly, etc.) but definitely nothing crazy, we’re all busy. No couples or pets allowed, and ideally not working from home full-time.
How to Apply / Arrange a Viewing:
Please send me an email or message with a little bit about you, as well as which room you’re interested in and we can arrange a time to show you the space!
Lease-signing will require first month’s rent and a security deposit (equal to one month’s rent as well), and will require a standard credit check by the landlord.
