A nearly private, market rate month to month room in apt FOR a NY tourist, SINGLE STUDENT OR YOUNGER PROFESSIONAL who proves full vaccination and booster status - unless you are medically exempt. I am vaccinated and doubly boosted. Background check mandatory. Signed agreement required. A $100 wkly cleaning fee is possible (I will give 2 warnings then notify you in writing) and of course will work with you so you understand the apt protocol. If roommate is cleaning after themselves t. hen the fee will be eliminated. Utilities are gas and electric.. Heat is free. Wifi is not a necessity but is optional.
The apt rent is 2150 beginning April 1. You pay 400 a week or if LT rental it is 1075/mo. When I teach, I am out of town. I prorate each week/month utilities based on my presence in apt and deduct these charges from your deposit. When here, I am normal, good humored, clean, quiet and busy. Your shower is private. We share bathroom stool/ sink and kitchen etc (including foyer) so you must leave the bathroom, kitchen and foyer as it was ie no dishes in the sink no personal property in foyer etc. Just respect the space. Everything you own must stay behind your bedroom door. I charge fees from deposit if you damage or throw away my property. Since I work teaching in another state it is a great deal! Util share is taken from deposit and is around $70-$90/mo approx. but I charge you 100% util if I am out of town. This apt room is for a single person. No couples. No bikes allowed in your room. They are to be locked outside only. The room gets glorious sun & has a great AC installed as well.

The apt is on the 1st floor and completely remodeled and comes with an excellent super. It is in an affluent neighborhood in Brooklyn 2 blks from Brooklyn College and 1 block from the Q local Ave H subway stop on a tree-lined street in historic enclave of Victorian homes. The house across the street sold for 2.7 million. The room is in a nice neighborhood.

The fully furnished bedroom being offered is in a completely gutted and remodeled apt. In 2015 the building was put on the National Register so it is a historic building. Apt includes the following: new windows/doors/fixtures/molding/cabinets/flooring/appliances/bathtub/basin/shower/granite kitchen counters, 10 ft ceilings, new ceiling lights , etc.

Room includes everything except TV. It does have a new bed but you can also bring in a small sofa. There are lights, a bookshelf, storage armoire, closet, chair , side bed table, mirror, chest. The remodeled bathroom shower is yours and perfectly private and tucked away at the end of a hallway with new everything. Windows, plumbing, fixtures, paint, doors, tiling are all new. Rare to have the bathtub and the separate private shower in a Brooklyn apartment like this one! We have both!

The kitchen is fully appointed and has all new appliances, table, chairs, coffee maker etc. and a view that starts the morning just right.

The apt is a warm, clean, safe haven in the fall/winter months or a cool, convenient and beautiful experience in the spring/summer. I have been told walking in our neighborhood is like walking in Narnia!! The room is terrific for the stranded or budget traveler, last minute tourist, visiting professional wanting to save per diems, college intern, members of the military, homeowners in transition, airline employees, bi-coastal actors, musicians, entertainment types, new grads or energetic professionals. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe and convenient laundry facilities are 60 seconds away 1 fl down in the elevator to the basement. Deposit is either $800 for weekly renter or 1075 for monthly renter- used for utilities and possible damages, possible cleaning fee, lost keys fee/nonpayment of rent. No regular maid service for you will be provided so you must clean up after yourself. Past boarders will vouch for my honesty, humor and my good nature so references are avail. No VAPING, INCENSE OR USE OF MATCHES OR FLAMES IN YOUR BEDROOM. Covid has created instability so no firearms, threatening, violent language, belligerent behavior, marijuana or illicit drugs, greasy & odorous daily cooking on stove or oven.
