Bushwick Room for Rent

This is a garden apartment of those brownstone style homes but aren’t actually brown? Idk what the actual name is but you get what I mean, lol.

The room you would have does have a door that opens up to the back yard but we do not have access to it. Occasionally the landlords will let us use it when they’re out of town, but that’s rare. We do have full access to the front area space at all times. My friends and I will sit out there to bbq, or play games etc. It’s a good size.

We’re below my landlords who are awesome! They have young children who of course play and make noise throughout the day so if that noise may be bothersome, I wouldn’t suggest this unit for you.

A bit about myself: I’m a 33 year old woman, I’ve been living in Brooklyn for a little over 4 years, attended the illustrious *insert HBCU here*, Christian, I love playing music (loudly to be fully transparent). Not all the time and not during obnoxious hours of course but I love a good tune while I’m cleaning, getting ready to go out or having a Beyoncé shower concert. I like baking and got into cooking during quarantine but the way my work schedule is set up, it’s been a while lol. I like spontaneous fun, exploring the city, hanging out with my family and friends and doing different types of random activities.

I really just want a cool roommate that is well rounded, has similar interests as myself or even different interests that I can learn about. Idk, just someone that’s clean and cool to live with? I’m not sure how else to phrase that lol.

Our landlords don’t allow pets nor do they allow smoking in the apartment or on the property. If you’re a smoker, that would have to be done elsewhere.

We’ve never had any issues with roaches, bedbugs or anything related.

We would split all bills 50/50 which would include ConEd, WiFi, National Grid and Rent. If you work from home, I think the ConEd split should be adjusted but we can find common ground on that.

I don’t have cable set up b/c I have a few too many streaming apps but feel free to set it up if it’s something you prefer.

Rent is $1450 a month so to move in it would be first month and 1 month security deposit for a total of 3000. Utilities vary with the seasons and can range from $100 to $200 which is mostly based on the AC/Heat usage. National Grid is about $10 a month and WiFi is $60.

The room does have a decent size closet with two doors to open but I wasn’t able to get a current photo b/c my roommate’s things are pretty stacked inside. Also, excuse the clothes on her bed in the photo of her room, she was in the middle of doing her laundry lol.
