Description
Hi!
The current available room is the bigger master bedroom. It can comfortably fit a queen-sized bed, a TV-stand and large 50-inch screen TV, a five-drawer dresser, a nightstand, and a desk/work area without being cramped. It has a large closet with sliding mirror doors, and two windows that let in a lot of light.
The bedroom is in a 4th floor 2-bedroom walk-up with a LOT of windows and natural lighting, a nice-sized living room and dining area, and a kitchen. There's 1 bathroom with a tub and shower. It's in a relatively quiet, residential area in Crown Heights, a 10-minute walk from the 2, 3, 4, A, C, and S trains, and about a 15-minute walk to Prospect Park. There are a lot of restaurants, bars, stores, cafes, etc. nearby as well.
Monthly rent for the room is $1375 due on the first of every month. We split the utilities (Internet, gas, and electricity) 50/50 and they usually come out to $80-$100 for each of us (that's all the utilities combined). Upon signing the 1st month of $1375 + security deposit of $1250 is due (for a total of $2,625).
About me:
I'm an editorial assistant working at a mid-size publisher in Union Square, so I bring home a lot of free books (and I have a 50% B&N discount, so if you like to read, I got you!).
I like to binge-watch TV (anime, k-dramas, Bridgerton, Doctor Who, Supernatural, Disney movies, Marvel, basically anything) and YouTube. I also read, write, draw, like to study different languages, go out and try new restaurants, go to museums, on picnics, to the beach, to musicals, ballet, opera, concerts and random trips out of town, among other things, depending on my mood and my wallet. I'm a pretty chill person and am all about maintaining a peaceful, comfy, and safe environment.
In terms of general requirements, the new roommate would have to:
-Like cats. I have a very sweet 3 year-old boy named Magnus Bane. He's very friendly, and pretty well-trained.
-Not have a dog. I like dogs, but I prefer not to live with them, especially since Magnus isn't used to them.
-Be generally tidy. I try not to leave dishes in the sink overnight, and the expectation is that we both do chores (take out the trash, sweep, clean the bathroom) on an as-needed basis.
-Not bring the party home. I'm totally fine with having a few people over every now and then, but I'd rather not come home to a bunch of strangers every evening.
If you're interested, feel free to reach out to me and I'm happy to set up a meeting/tour/zoom!
