Description
DESCRIPTION(S):
Join us in our spacious 3 bed 2 bath Brooklyn apartment we’ve been calling home for the last 4 years. Unfortunately, no cats allowed. It is just a 20-minute walk to Prospect Park and steps away from the Q train. The building has an elevator and laundry room on the ground floor. For those who have a car, off-street parking and/or a parking space in the garage is also an option. We’re resigning our lease and are looking for a clean, collaborative, and considerate drug-free roommate to fill our king-sized bedroom.
The room is huge with great natural light! There’s space for a king-sized bed, desk, and dresser. It also includes a large closet and neighborhood views. A semi-private balcony is included with the rental of the room.
Our common area is an open floor-plan with large east-facing windows. We enjoy beautiful natural light, especially in the morning. The kitchen has a lot of storage with basic kitchen appliances. Feel free to bring your own!
THE ROOMMATES:
We’re both orderly, clean, and direct. Nick (he/him; in his late twenties) loves dogs, the law, and plants. He is currently going to law school. Maya (she/her; late twenties) enjoys going to concerts and trying new foods.
The apartment is a multicultural LGBTQIA+ safe space. We respect each other's personal space. There is an 11pm curfew to respect our study schedules. A roommate agreement outlines personal boundaries and expected decorum, which all who reside with us must abide.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Prospect Park South is a lovely section of Flatbush. We live blocks away from restaurants and markets, a branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, and Flatbush Ave. We're a 30-minute train ride to downtown Manhattan (Union Sq.) and a 45-minute train to Midtown. The neighborhood is residential, which means it's relatively quiet. There is an elementary school across from the apartment building. Ditmas Park has a lot of Victorian houses with pretty yards, which make for beautiful walks. Every few months there are public art and music events in the neighborhood. It's a nice balance between residential and busy.
NOTE:
Rent is $1060/month with a $1060 security deposit. Utilities and Wifi usually add up to approx. $40/month. This post is for the remainder of our lease agreement through March 31, 2025. Lastly, if interested, please reach out and submit the Google Form provided by June 29, 2024.
