Description

Hey everyone!

My name is Tom, and I'm looking for someone to take over my share of the lease starting August 1st in this spacious apartment just 5 minutes away from gorgeous Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and a long list of amazing restaurants, bars, and bakeries. We are a 5 minute walk to the 2, 3, 4, 5, B/D/Q/R trains. There is also a laundromat across the street from our building. This neighborhood really is fantastic. I've lived in this apartment since 2021, and Nina and Emma are the best roommates I've ever had. You will have the option to renew the lease when it expires March 1st 2025.

The room available - The room is 11 x 10 with 2 large windows that let in a good amount of natural light. The room can fit a queen sized bed, a desk, and more. There is a built-in closet as well.

The apartment - The apartment itself is a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom with high ceilings and a large living room to spread out. Nina, Emma and myself like to keep things clean and we ask the next roommate to be clean as well and wash your dishes in a timely manner. Our apartment is welcoming, cozy, and peaceful. We are also firm believers in communication. We hope the next roommate respects these values as well.

The rent is $1,038 per month excluding utilities. Utilities are usually between $50-$100 per month. No pets allowed unfortunately. No couples.

Nina - Hey all! I’m originally from Vermont, and have been living in New York for about 8 years. I work in student affairs at Columbia, specifically with the performing arts, and am in the office at least 3 days a week. I love reading, baking, plants, and spending time in the park. I’m always looking for book, movie, and TV recommendations and am always happy to share my baked goods!

Emma - Hi everyone! I went to undergrad and grad school on Long Island before I moved out to Brooklyn, but I’m originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I work in book publishing in midtown, so I work in the office 3 days a week, and work from home the other two days. I love to read, watch feel-good tv shows and movies, and go to queer events around the city. I’m clean, wash my dishes right after I use them, and take out the trash when it’s full.

All interested candidates must have proof of ID, 3 current paystubs/proof of income for application to building management. 2 to 3 references from previous roommates would be preferred as well.

If this sounds like a match to you, feel free to reach out with a description of yourself and a social media link attached in your email. From there, we'll set up a time to chat and see the room in person. Thank you!
