SUMMER BY THE PARK

Seeking someone to sublet a bedroom in a two-bedroom apartment.

Dates: June 1 - August 31 . Month-to-month extension possible after.

Prospect Park South. Half a block to the Prospect Park Parade Grounds. 2 blocks from Prospect Park. 1 1/2 blocks from the B, Q express subway stop at Church Avenue. The Fort Hamilton F, G is a 10-minute walk.

The apartment is on the third floor. There is a very reliable elevator. Laundry in the basement of the building.

The available room has a full-sized bed, new mattress, dresser, new bedside table, and area rug. Ample closet space. Two big windows. I will be purchasing a desk and chair and air conditioner for the room.

It's a sweet space. I'm just now getting art up on the walls of the common space - and getting some furniture (tv console) for the common space. There's plenty of room in the refrigerator and cupboards.

The bathroom is clean, has a window and a full tub. Heat and Hot water are included with the rent. Internet, electric and gas are additional. Internet is $35 each, electric and gas around 50 each...summer AC can make the electric bill higher.

I am a clean, respectful, middle-aged filmmaker and professor. I have a 15-year-old, small, friendly dog who sleeps 23 hours a day.

I teach in person at NYU and at a CUNY MFA program, but I also do some teaching and private instruction via ZOOM these days. I also write... these days mostly from home. I'm a vegetarian, but I make grilled chicken for my beloved fur child. I mostly socialize outside the home, but, occasionally, I have friends over for a meal or some cocktails.

I am very involved in the arts, especially film and the visual arts.

An ideal roommate is someone who works /goes to school in person. At this juncture, someone who solely works from home is not a good fit.

No couples. No heavy partiers. No pets (sorry!) No smoking or drugs.

Proof of income or school enrollment and references a must.
