Looking for fun, friendly roommate

ABOUT THE SPACE:
I’m looking for an easygoing, friendly female roommate in her mid-late 20s or early-mid 30s to move into the spare bedroom in my 2-bedroom, 2nd floor walkup in East Harlem. The year-long lease starts on August 1 but a later move-in date, or even a lease start date of Sept 1 is possible.

I can’t say enough good things about my apartment - I’ve lived here for 5 years with my cuddly cat, and have made it into a cozy space I’m proud to call home. The available bedroom is on the smaller side but it has two massive windows, a closet, and gets great afternoon light. The living space is huge, clean, and fully equipped, with amazing windows that look out onto a tree-lined street. There’s a big fire escape that’s great for hanging out on, and a rooftop.

I keep the place very clean (vacuum once a week so there’s never cat hair all over the place), and I’d like a roommate who is good about doing their dishes and who also loves cats :)

ABOUT ME:

I’m very social, extroverted, and easygoing. I’m a news reporter at Business Insider, and went to Columbia Journalism School and Seattle University after growing up in southern CA. I love going to concerts, reading in the park, listening to music, and hanging out with my friendly and cuddly cat, Catso Fatso. I love going out to dive bars and dance clubs with friends, but I also enjoy cozy nights in - baking cookies, making cocktails, and binge-watching TV and movies.

I’m looking for a kind, friendly, and clean roommate who loves cats. I’ve become great friends with all my previous roommates, and I’d like to find someone who I can build community with and just have fun with at home, while also of course respecting each other’s schedules and alone time. The city can be such a crazy place so having a comforting, safe space to come home to, and a roommate to share the silly details of your day with, makes all the difference.
