$2600 Room in 2bed in Stuytown/East Village!

I’m a 28yo male developer/programmer from Michigan working in the finance industry who’s currently living in StuyTown. My roommate is moving away for grad school so I’m looking for a roommate (male or female) to sign a new lease in July/August.

I’d describe myself as an extrovert and I love meeting new people! I’m also extremely creative and musical. I play piano/guitar and semi-regularly perform at open mic night. I like going to techno shows/clubs in Brooklyn, but also rock/pop concerts if it’s someone I like. When I’m away from the city, I enjoy mountain biking and surfing. As a roommate, I’m tidy/respectful/super chill.

I wfh most days, but after work am pretty active with exercise, meeting up with friends, or just generally exploring the city. Most recently I’ve begun taking shuffle dancing classes (a great workout and it’s about time I improved my absolutely horrific dancing skills!). I also travel pretty regularly.

Looking for someone (male or female) who’s also pretty social/down to do stuff/chill.

The available bedroom is 11’9”x 9’8” and rent will be ~2600 + $50 AC fee/wifi, all other utilities are included. The room easily fits a queen bed, desk, and a dresser/something else. The reason I want to stay here is these apartments are significantly bigger for the price than anywhere else in the city I’ve lived, and the location is amazing. The 14th and 1st L train stop is < 30 second walk from the apartment, Trader Joe’s/Target right across the street. It’s a short walk to Tomkins Square Park in East Village, 1 stop on the L to get to Williamsburg/McCarren, 3-4 stops on the L to West Village/Chelsea, and the East Side running path just recently opened back up (~1 mile jog to the East River Park Track). There’s space for bringing any living room furniture/couch/TV you might have and I have a dart board and stuff for making espresso. The complex has pickleball/basketball courts, a big park/green space in the middle, and a StuyTown gym ~5 min away. Laundry room is on the first floor and there's a bike storage room.
