Description
The building where I have an unfurnished room for rent is in Inwood, Manhattan. This building has a smooth elevator and is barrier-free. Definitely, Inwood is Manhattan's hidden gem where the nature of Manhattan still remains in Inwood Hill Park. In addition to that my neighborhood is extremely convenient, as there is a huge super market that is open 24/7/365, and the nearby station of the A train is below this building. You can also take the 1 train, and its nearby station is 3 blocks away. Within a few blocks there are several banks including Citibank, Chase Bank, Bank of America, Capital One Bank and TD Bank.
The detailed description of my place is as follows.
• The room is UNFURNISHED. Please know it is much better to use your own furniture that you like, except for a short-term stay.
• There are two bathrooms in my apartment. The south bathroom will be shared by the renter of this room and me. The bathroom has a toilet paper holder for your use only.
• A large kitchen and a large refrigerator will be shared. There is much storage spaces for your use in the kitchen.
• The rent with cooking is $970. The rent with no cooking is $870. No cooking does not mean you cannot use the kitchen. You can use the kitchen under the following restrictions. You cannot cook by using the stove, oven or microwave oven etc. You can fix a meal or a drink in the kitchen. You can use the microwave oven to warm or defreeze food. You can use the stove to get warm or hot water.
• It is nice and warm in this apartment in winter.
• This room has three electric outlets and three windows, through which cool natural wind enters this room from Fort Tryon Park in the summer season.
• The door of this room has a lock. A large mirror is attached on the door of this room.
• There is powerful laundry facility in the building.
• The rent includes water, heating. Wi-Fi service and regular usage of electricity.
• This building is very well maintained. This neighborhood is really very good and safe.
• This apartment adopts a shoeless household policy as one way to reduce indoor exposure to outdoor pathogens and pollutants. You can wear sandals or slippers in my apartment. Ample shoe storage space will be provided to you in the hallway.
• A non-smoker only.
• A 1 year lease is required.
• It is rare that I have a visitor, and I do not party at all. I like a quiet life. A roommate who has a person stay overnight is not welcome.
As to what type of person I look for as my roommate, my requirement is simple. A person who does not breach my trust on her and who keeps the terms written in the lease agreement is wanted. To not destroy our mutual trust is very important to maintain a good relationship..
