Description
Looking for someone to lease the third Bedroom in our apartment! The lease begins March 1st!
About Apartment/room: The apartment is on the third floor of a small, walk-up, and quiet building. The room has a window and fits a full-size bed, dresser, and/or desk. The apartment itself is large, with plenty of natural light and space. The kitchen features full-size appliances and plenty of counter and cabinet space (a luxury in the city.) The bathroom is a good size, with a full-size tub that all three roommates share. The in-unit laundry (separate washer and dryer) is a major feature of the apartment.
One bloc from the 6, J, and Z train. And only two blocs from the N, Q, R, and W trains. Also only a 5-minute walk to the D. Its a great spot for public transportation.
About the roommates: My name is Wyatt, and I am a full-time law school student in my last semester. I also am full-time employed. Most of my time is spent outside of the apartment between work and school, but when I'm home, I tend to be very quiet. As a roommate, I've been told that I am very clean and respectful of my roommate's stuff and space. I also am very social and spend a lot of time out with my friends when I have time. I wouldn't consider myself a partier, but I am a social person. I am originally from Ft Lauderdale, Florida, and have lived in New York for three years.
My roommate Crystal is a young professional who works from home at a tech start-up in the music space. She is a very outgoing and compassionate person. Since Crystal's job is remote, she does spend more time in the apartment, but she is also a very social person. She usually tired to be out of the apartment as often as she can be with friends or just enjoy the city. As a roommate, Crystal is very thoughtful and respectful of our space but also a great person to hang out with. Crystal also has a small cat (so needing to be ok with a cat is a must because he will be out in the community spaces most of the day.) Crystal is also from Florida and has lived in New York for seven years.
What we are looking for is a roommate that is a young professional or student the is clean and respectful. Working from home is not a problem for either of us. As a roommate, we want someone who is not only a responsible person to pay the rent and bills but someone who wants to be friends with their roommates. We really enjoy the fact that our space is welcoming and feels like home to us, and we hope to continue that. We would love a roommate who is social like us but preferably not a heavy partier.
About the application: Any potential roommate will be a third person signed onto the lease. They are required to make 40x the rent, but if that isn't possible can have a guarantor (all standard guarantor requirements apply.) Out-of-state guarantors are accepted. Also, have a decent creditor score, and know that there is an application fee. No Broker fee, though! The landlord is very kind and responsive, and we have had no real issues with him. The landlord is a mom-and-pop style landlord, so it's been great not having to deal with a large management company.
