Description

Lease term: July 1, 2023 until March 31, 2024

About the Area
The apartment is conveniently located right across the street from the 83rd street entrance to the 2nd avenue Q train and a brisk 5 minute walk to the 86th St. subway line for the 4, 5, and 6 train, as well as a 2 minute walk to the M79, M86 crosstown bus, and M15 bus on 1st and 2nd Ave.

The apartment is just a stone's throw away from a plethora of stellar restaurants, bars, juice bars, gyms, laundromats, grocery stores, Whole Foods, Fairway Market, Target, banks, Shake Shack, an AMC movie theater, cellphone shops, and whatever else you might need, the list literally goes on and on. This apartment is located in a very prime area.

About the Apartment
It's a 5 story walk up with access to the rooftop, although we're technically not supposed to but everyone does it. The unit itself is located on the 3rd floor, so the walk up and down is not bad at all. The place has a very large living room, by Manhattan standards, a very decently-sized kitchen with modern kitchen appliances, granite counter tops, and sleek cabinets, and a pretty run-of-the-mill bathroom. There is also a ton of exposed brick in every room, except the bathroom.

About the Room ($1,190)
The great thing about this room is that it opens up right into the living room, which kind of makes it feel like an extension of your own room! The room is spacious enough to fit a full size bed, mid-size desk, and a file cabinet and is also comes complete with a small window as well and opens up to the large living room window. Basically if you're a minimalist, not materialistic, new to the city, or a student then this room is perfect for you, however if you do need some space then you can always hang out in the spacious living room or kitchen. There is also a very large closet in the hallway that you'll share with another roommate. It's complete with cabinets, shelves, bins, and hooks, so no need to bring or buy a dresser.
*Please note this room can come furnished (current roommate is looking to sell his furniture at flat $400 rate, bed is only a year old).*

Common Expenses.
Utilities and internet would be split three ways with utilities coming out to about $25-$35 per person. Internet is also $25 a pop. Common items such as dish washing soap, paper towels, cleaning supplies, TP, etc. is split three ways as well (bonus points if you have an Amazon Prime account).

About the Current Roommates
One is a 30-year-old Carolina native (who used to live in Iowa), who has the amazing perk of WFH full-time, so she's typically working in her bedroom M-F! And is social on the weekend, but also has those lazy stay-in weekends as well!

The other roomie is a 30-year-old international student from Germany (wilkommen!) studying law here in NYC and spends most of his time at university or bartending full-time in a swanky West Village restaurant, so he knows how to make a mean drink!

About YOU
Looking for roommates approximately in the same age range, so if you fall anywhere between 25-30 range then you're good. Also seeking young professionals with great credit and you will also need to provide pay statements and whatnot, as well as a security deposit.

Potential roommate should be reasonably social, however should not bring the party home, but most importantly you MUST BE CLEAN! This point can't be emphasized enough! You make a mess, you clean it up. This means no dirty dishes in the kitchen sink or living room table, taking out the trash, and taking turns with cleaning the bathroom. We all pitch in here. And no live-in significant others, humans or animals. Pets are awesome, but they are not allowed in this apartment. Sure, it's great to have your companion over every now and then, but please no extra, unofficial roommates here. And finally, no smoking.

Anyways, if you've read this entire massive post and are still interested then write back with a little about yourself, what your occupation is, what your interests are, a social media link (Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn), and please answer the following question, if you don't then you most likely won't get a reply back:

How many days do you think it is acceptable to leave dirty dishes in the sink?

Finally here is a pricing breakdown recap for the room:

Rent: $1,190
Security: $1,190
Total: $2,380
