Enter our brick cape and enjoy the sunlight as it streams in. The house is squeaky clean, rooms are cool in summer and cozy warm in winter. The driveway is huge and ready for your car, truck, or van. We don't accept smokers. Finally, our home is close to transportation, (Airports, Trains, Buses), we welcome all and 99% of the time we're home to assist you. If you need a lift to or from JFK, LaGuardia, or the train, let us know in advance and we'll try to help (extra cost involved).

The private bedroom with 1 queen bed, sleeps 1. *The bedrooms has ample closet space. *The floors are all wood in our home and that includes the bedrooms. Our kitchen and dining room are connected. Guests may use the refrigerator, sink of course, and the microwave. We also offer counter space as a breakfast staging area with free coffee. We clean your linens.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire first floor of our home. The bathroom is directly next to the bedrooms, and it is for guests only. It is shared with another guest.

Interaction with guests

Our family interacts with guests during meal time. We share our kitchen with guests, cook and eat there. We do not provide meals for our guests but they are welcome to join us at the dinner table. Other than mealtime, guests will be free to enjoy the entire first floor by themselves, which includes a couch and T. V. with wireless and a good number of streaming channels, Netflix, Amazon, and more. Sling provides the rest, rounding out the offering with regular television programming.

The neighborhood

Two final points; our neighborhood is very safe, and we welcome everyone from all ethnicities, backgrounds, countries, languages, couples, solo travelers, business travelers and LGBT.

Getting around

Commuting to our home with a car rental is simple because we are 25 minutes from JFK International Airport (6.7 miles). Laguardia Airport is 15 miles but the highway is a little closer so it also takes 25 minutes. A taxi from each airport usually runs about $40 not including tip. You'll also be close to the Long Island Rail Road station for Valley Stream and Floral Park. Both stations are 3.0 miles away. There's also a bus within walking distance, that goes to an additional LIRR station, and one that goes to the Valley Stream Mall for shopping. If I am available and the hours suit me, I'll pick you up and drop you at any of the above for a small fee, cheaper than those mentioned.

Other things to note

We expect our guests to clean up after themselves, especially in the bathroom area. Currently, we do not charge a cleaning fee. Additional guests must be pre-approved for ANY period of stay.
