Goddess Room Available Immediately

This is a month to month space, but ideally we are looking for a female, long-term roommate. 1 month rent + 1 month security + $400 pet deposit if you have one. We are remote working professionals and travelers.

The Space:

The “Goddess Room” is a king sized bedroom, fully furnished with mahogany pieces. It includes a window, queen sized bed, 2 dressers, 2 end tables, closet, mirror, tv for streaming, and adjustable AC cooling/radiator heating. A plant named Persephone enjoys living in there. There is enough space for a desk to be added as well.

The room is in a 2 bedroom apartment. One bedroom (the “Goddess Room”) is available for rent from the traveling roommate. One female roommate rents the second bedroom (the “Devi Room”). The full kitchen and full bathroom are shared spaces. The living room is a shared/flexible space. It includes a daybed, meditation space, and library. There are currently no pets in the apartment, but we do hope you’ll bring some. There are plenty of plants, and there’s room for plenty more. There is a soothing mushroom fountain, Himalayan salt and lava lamps, and plush rugs (so we never wear shoes in the apartment).

We care for this space together, clean, and make sustainable efforts (such as using green products, recycling and composting). Flow arts props, camping equipment, fitness equipment, craft materials, and musical instruments are also available in the apartment. Art from around the world, crystals, wild plants, sage, and classic rock memorabilia adorn this soul sanctuary.

The apartment is in a walkable neighborhood. The building has a bike rack. Street parking is available (with alternate side). Astoria Park with river, trails, and the best skyline views is a 10-min walk away. Everything is within a couple of blocks (groceries, bars, restaurants, yoga, gym, markets, cafes, brunch spots, delis). There are multiple Citibike spots and Revels within a block or two from the apartment. There are two laundromats within 1 block (with pick up/delivery available). We are a 5 min walk to the train (N/W) and buses (Q69, Q100), and a 15 min car ride to the city. LGA is 10 min away/JFK is 30 min by car.

This is an ideal basecamp. It is very accessible to the best of New York-City & Upstate. You are within easy “NY reach” of NYC highlights such as Union Square, Washington Park, the Lower East Side, the Upper West Side, Times Square, 34th Street, SOHO, Central Park, and the best of Brooklyn. You can live around the city, but rest away from it-while saving money, and gaining space. You’re within 1hr to Bear Mountain, about 2hrs to the best upstate spots (Hunter Mountain, Woodstock, the Catskills), less than an hour to the best beaches (in Long Island). The best places to see the fall foliage, do winter sports, camp, and have summer lake days in NY are within a couple of hrs away.
