Mid-Century Dream in Queens!

This is a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in the Flushing/Bayside area of Queens!

The room for rent is the larger, primary bedroom, which includes a private, newly-renovated full bathroom located within the bedroom, as well as a large storage space/closet. The second bedroom, which is where I will be staying, is much smaller and does not have it's own private bathroom. I travel often and sometimes stay with family in Manhattan, so in addition to having the larger bedroom, you will often have the apartment to yourself.

The space is relaxing and inviting; the apartment and primary bedroom get wonderful daylight, and the open floor plan of the common areas (living room/dining room/kitchen) is perfect for entertaining. The common areas are tidy and fully decorated and furnished with a minimalist, mid-century modern vibe, with some pop art thrown in there as well. In between the living and dining areas, you'll find a library/music nook which is perfect for relaxing/reading/vibing out. The kitchen is also fully stocked with high quality pots, pans and almost every other kitchenware you could ever want. The entire apartment also has the original parkay wood floors and two other large closet spaces for storage.

The rent includes a parking space, as well as internet and utilities (there's also street parking with no alternate side parking imposed).

The building, built the 1960s, has an elevator and on site laundry. There is also a wheelchair-accessible entrance at the back of the building as the front entrance has three small steps. The building is an eclectic mix of people, but it's an overall quiet, chill building and the residents are all nice.

The apartment is just three miles from downtown Flushing, so close proximity to more world-class restaurants than one can ever eat at in a lifetime. It is also less than a mile from Bell Boulevard/downtown Bayside, which also has some great food spots. The Q28 also stops every few minutes in front of the building and gets you to quickly to downtown Flushing and the 7 Train at Main Street.

A little bit about me: my name is Aldie (she/her) and I am an environmental lawyer and writer. I work part time from home (i'll be staying in the smaller, second bedroom where I have a mini-office), and the remainder of the time I work at my jobs' office in Long Island City, Queens. I often stay with my family in Manhattan and travel frequently. When I am home (and have time) I love to cook and have a passion for exploring new food spots throughout NYC. I am also super tidy.
