Furnished room, nonsmoking, 10 min walk to ferry

There are 2 good sized rooms located in a quiet, completely nonsmoking house, in the safe historic district within St George. The house is a 10 min walk to the free ferry to lower Manhattan, which runs 24/7.

The rooms are fully furnished with a full sized bed, dresser, desk and lamps, and linens are available for those coming from out of town. One room has a private half bathroom, an amazing view of the city and harbor, and its own refrigerator.

The plus of the other room is that it is very private, with the door off a distant corner of the living room, far away from the other roommate’s room off the kitchen. There is an eat in kitchen with 3 windows overlooking the harbor and city skyline, shared with one longterm professional male tenant who has been in the house over 10 years.

There is a cat who goes through the common areas, so those who are allergic should look elsewhere. The house is completely nonsmoking, so those who smoke should look elsewhere as well. Please do not apply even if you smoke outside.

There is a large unruly backyard, so those inclined to garden are most welcome.

Parking is easier than in the other 4 boros because there is no “alternate side” here.

There is a brand new outlets mall right near the ferry, and there are some very good restaurants in the area. There are also 2 farmers markets within walking distance and a full grocery store several blocks from the ferry.

This is an up and coming quiet neighborhood where you get more space for the money than in other boros. Parking is better here than in other boros because there are no alternate side/street cleaning rules to follow.

Seeking a responsible, quiet, nonsmoking tenant with excellent rental history, stable employment and decent credit. There is a written, flexible month to month written agreement. Short term and longterm are both okay.
