Furnished room in quiet, treelined home

AVAILABLE FROM THE LAST WEEK IN MAY - fully furnished room in pleasant, older Main Line home on quiet street, 10 to 15 minutes’ walk from Septa station and Villanova University. The $550 rent includes everything: utilities, broadband, carport or on-street parking and 24/7 access to the kitchen, the washing machine and the dryer. The house has good views and three large lawns. If you like to garden, there’s plenty of space to plant flowers, spices or veggies.
The neighborhood and our home are always quiet -- not for party people! Foreign students are very welcome; our family and home are international. Usually, our tenants are graduate students or young-adult professionals. Everyone here has busy lives, and we will not intrude on yours. The landlord and landlady are very nice retired professors.
Our home is split level, so entrance to the upstairs tenant rooms is semi-private. We rent our upstairs floor to a maximum of three tenants. Tenants usually share one bathroom; another full bathroom is nearby but rarely needed, as tenants' hours vary. The room that is available has two large windows with pleasant view. It is furnished with a single bed and bedding; large desk-table with chair; bookcase, lamp, etc. There is an oversized (room-width) closet & shelves. Additional chairs, lamps and art are available on request.
We don’t require a lease but can provide one if needed. We strongly prefer tenants to stay for at least one academic semester. We usually don't ask for a security deposit, but we do require at least three weeks’ notice before a tenant moves out.
