Roommate Wanted Point Breeze ($825/month

The place is a 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom 2-story rowhome with a finished basement in Point Breeze. Rent is $825 per person and we’re responsible for paying electric, gas, water, and internet (utilities normally shake out to about $150 per month depending on how hot/cold it is outside). The house has a central A/C unit, so no need for a window unit. Other things the house includes are white granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, hardwood floors, new appliances, plus my living room/kitchen furniture. The finished basement has plenty of storage space and a small gym with a full power rack with an Olympic bar, about 230 pounds of plates, plus adjustable dumbbells, and a couple of kettlebells. The move in date would start anytime on or after June 22 but the lease would start July 1st.

Location-wise, the house is in a pretty convenient spot, with lots of amenities nearby. Public transit-wise we are about a ten-minute walk to the BSL, plus the 17 bus into Center City picks up and drops off basically at the end of the block. The shops/bars/restaurants on Passyunk Ave are also a quick 15-minute walk. There are also several pretty good restaurants and bars within a five-minute walk as well (Second District, South Phila Taproom, Susie’s Pie Shop, Ultimo Coffee, Hardena, among others). Also, fairly close to several grocery stores: there are several small Asian grocers along Morris Street, an Aldi (on Oregon) about a 20-minute walk; two Acmes (one on Passyunk and Oregon), a Target, and a Sprouts, are both a 20-minute walk away as well.
