Room For Rent In The Heart Of Astoria

Two roommates are looking for a third roommate to share their three-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment located in a quiet building in the heart of Astoria. Located just off of Ditmars Blvd at 41st Street, the apartment is close to everything. We are a short walk to the N/W Ditmars Blvd stop and you can hop the bus to the R/M Steinway Street stop. Both lines are quick rides to Manhattan. There are many restaurants located nearby as well as grocery stores and laundry mats.
The apartment is located on the second floor of a four-family home. We are both friendly, clean, quiet and respectful of each other and are looking for the same in our new roommate. The common areas include one bathroom, a small kitchen and a furnished living room.
The bedroom is a generous 162 square foot space with two front facing windows that get great sunlight. The closet is 5 feet wide and has almost ceiling height vertical storage. The current roommate has a lot of furniture in it and still has plenty of space. The door has a lock and the key will be provided to you from the current roommate, no one else has a copy. There is radiator heating. There is a solid wooden desk and chair for your use and the room comes with navy, light blocking curtains.
There is also a professionally installed 5,000 BTU Frigidaire AC mounted on a window bracket included FREE!
Please excuse the condition of the room, our roommate is busy packing.
There is one resident sassy cat, so we cannot have any more cats. Small dogs considered on a case by case basis.
Monthly Rent is $940, due on the 1st of each month. Move in requirement are one month?s security deposit and first month?s rent. Move-in date is August 1st. We split the electric bill three ways, it is approximately $30 per person in the winter and $60 in the summer. Verizon Fios is available for $28.50 a month, payable directly to one of the roommates.
Please have references and proof of income available. The final stage is a criminal background check, at no charge, required by our landlord.
We are a smoke free home and have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to illegal narcotics.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will first be offering photos and virtual tours of the apartment and virtual interviews to get to know each other before any in-person showings, for everyone?s safety.
