Currently living in "cosy" 4-bedroom apartment in Long Island City, bordering on Astoria, Queens. 2 rooms will become available March 1st. $650 rent for room. Additional costs of utilities & internet split evenly among all 4 roommates. Second floor walk-up with small common area. Nearby transit is N/W at 39th Ave, also walking distance to Queensboro Plaza, Queens Plaza, etc.

Rooms are both appropriately 7x13 feet. Comes without a built-in closet or overhead light, but enough space for shelves, drawers, and lamps. Previous roommates prefer to leave some furniture - will ask for details.

Roomies are all female 20s/30s. We met through church, and share Christian faith, so are seeking roommates with a similar sense of living peacefully together. (There is frequently praise music and prayer around the house.) Those of us definitely staying - I'm a freelance artist who teaches and does interactive experiences, the other works for an architectural firm. She keeps a pet rabbit in her room.

On a daily basis, we usually each do our own thing, crossing paths in the kitchen or maybe inviting each other to activities. Basic house rules: shoes off at the door, no overnight boyfriends/dates/etc. We occasionally have friends come by, and have talked about hosting a Bible study or house party, but mostly our home is a comfortable place to unwind.
