Room for Rent Near Downtown San Jose

We are looking for a third roommate (or couple) to help us enjoy our awesome home in Naglee Park. What we would really love is to find someone who enjoys cooking with their housemates, spending time with us in our garden, and is interested in exploring San Jose. Our home is not just a place to crash after work. We are looking for someone that shares some of the same interests as us: cooking, gardening, biking, spending time outside, climbing, hiking. Awesome Location: We are biking distance to downtown and extremely close to Diridon Station. There are awesome restaurants, cafes, bars, Friday/Sunday Farmers Market (biking distance with designated bike lanes), as well as a bus stop nearby.

About the Home & Room:
The home is located in a very quiet and family friendly neighborhood. It has three bedrooms, one shared bathroom with a shower/tub, large living room, sitting room with fireplace, amazing kitchen with large gas stove/oven, and laundry room. Our favorite part of the house is actually the garden. This is a smoke-free and pet-free house.

The room is private and does not share any adjacent walls with other bedrooms. It is quiet and has two windows plus a closet with a built-in dresser. The room does not come furnished. You would be sharing a bathroom with two other people.

Please note: the room is for either one person or a couple.

About us: K (female) enjoys running, rock climbing, cooking up spicy dishes, and going to concerts. She grew up in the Bay Area but also spent some time in NM and MA. She is eco-conscious and travels a lot for work. R (male) is also from the Bay Area, currently finishing up his Master?s at UCSC and working on a company from home. He enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, baking bread, and going to concerts. We?ve been a couple for 4+ years and enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling.

About you: You?re a good communicator who is also clean, social and respectful, would like to spend time with your housemates, and environmentally conscious (i. e. you recycle/compost). While you enjoy being home, you also have a social life outside the apartment. Also, you are not a heavy drug or alcohol user nor will you bring the party home.

Rent: $1,000, plus utilities, cleaning and internet (approx. $150 month). The lease is until June 1st but we hope for someone that will commit for longer. Applicants will need to complete a $35 background check per our landlord?s request. Security deposit is $1000.
