Hi, my name is Andrew, and I have a lower level master suite for rent for $1350/month including all utilities (wifi, electric, ESPN+), available August 1, 2023, in the North Fairlington neighborhood, Arlington, Virginia, 22206.

About the Condo:
-Two-level 2b/2b Hermitage model (1500 sq/ft total)

-plentiful street parking

-daily trash/recycling pickup

-water, groundskeeping, cleaning service, snow removal, etc. included in rent

-pool/tennis courts pass included in rent

-small backyard with a balcony, a private deck and patio, Traeger wood pellet grill (which you are welcome to use), large outdoor dining table, and fire pit.

-large public greenspace right off the backyard. Many people use it to hang out, do yoga, throw birthdays, play catch, etc.

-dishwasher (new in 2021), washer/dryer (washer new in 2022)

-Central AC

-every-other-week cleaning service is included in rent (provided by a local, small, family business that my family has had a relationship with for about 15 years. They come every other Tuesday from 9-11 am. They are fantastic people, and I trust them).

-great location (walking distance to grocery stores, public Library, movie theater, shopping, and restaurants in Shirlington, Bradlee Shopping Center, and Centro), multiple Metrobus stops 1/2 block away, rt 395 around the corner, 10 minute drive to the Pentagon.

-shared kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry, and back yard. Everything is furnished except your space, there’s a bit of extra storage space around (mostly in the utility room), and tons of room in the kitchen for your pots and pans/etc.

-Safe, quiet, tree-lined neighborhood.

-friendly neighbors (6 unit building with singles, couples, and kids), who all hang out together on occasion.

About your space:

-lower level master suite in a Hermitage model 2b/2b Fairlington Villages Condo.
-large unfurnished bedroom (14x13) with a decent-sized walk-in-ish closet
-carpeted (new in 2018)
-private full bath
-semi-private unfurnished living room (11x13-ish) with a private closet, and private entrance. I just walk through the living room to get to the laundry room. Great space for a home office if you work from home.
-feel free to paint the walls/hang art/make it your own

About me:
I manage the condo for my parents, who live in Baltimore, am in my early 40's, school teacher in Arlington, and grew up in Alexandria. My interests include philosophy, stand-up comedy, and meditation; I'm a huge Nats and UFC fan. I am quiet, friendly, and personable. During the school-year I lead a pretty ordered life, on a fairly set schedule. Early to bed, early to rise, that sort of thing. In the summer I enjoy relaxing, having friends over for a fire pit/dinner/the game, and occasionally hosting a BBQ with all the neighbors.

About you:
Mid-20’s to 40’s, fully employed, mature, conscientious, friendly, responsible, pays rent on time, and cleans up after yourself (no dishes left in the sink, turn off the lights when you leave the room, take the trash out if it’s full, etc), and quiet and low-key during the week. Willing to submit info for a background check. Ideally someone who shares some of my interests, likes sports, sharing ideas, and who’d be up for hanging out every once in a while. Open to a man or woman, and have lived with both.

Other Details:
-to move in I’ll need 1st month’s rent, last month’s rent, plus a refundable security deposit of $800. Willing to negotiate the rent.
-rent is due on the 1st of the month
-looking for a 1 year lease, and 2 months-to-2 months (60 days notice), after the lease is up if everything goes well.
-shoes-off household
-this is not a party house. The party doesn’t come back here after the bar, vineyard, etc. I’m happy for you to have friends over for dinner/movies/games anytime, as well as backyard bbq’s, etc on the weekends, but we share walls with multiple neighbors, including families with small children, whose relationships are valuable to me.
