Friendly Place w/ a View

I need a roommate for my 2 bedroom, one bath, cozy kitchen, and cool cross breeze apartment. I’ve been here for 5 years and it’s been a good apartment. Ideal for a grad student. A potential roommate should be willing to sign a lease. Water is included in the rent, but we split Wi-Fi and electricity. The adult bike in the photo is to give a sense of the room’s size- last roommate had plenty of space with a queen sized bed, work from home desk, and big chest of drawers.

There’s a Whole Foods a few blocks away & major bus lines run by the place regularly. The building has a few parking spots for rent, but if those are not available, there is adequate street parking. Ballard restaurants & music are nearby. The top of Queen Anne has a Trader Joe’s, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, & a great summer farmer’s market. Seattle Center and Ballard are both easy bus rides or Lyfts away if you want to go there for events car-less and fancy free.

I’m a chatty morning person who starts to wind down at 9 in the winter. I’m reasonably neat although a bit cluttered and I emphasize a clean kitchen and bathroom.

LGBTQ+ folks are welcome. I’m a cis-gender, straight, white woman- middle aged in years and younger aged in spirit.

My roommate should be good about their dishes. Sometimes things might stay in the sink overnight, but not for days.

I lean cautious about unfamiliar people spending nights, but am cool with known guests & visitors, so long as we’re both responsible for our own guests.

I barely drink and don’t do other substances and I would like a roommate who doesn’t partake much at home. The apartment is non-smoking, marijuana included, as required by the landlord.

This would begin August 1, but a July date might be able to be arranged.

A hypoallergenic pet would absolutely be welcome and I am considering getting a pet for myself. I enjoy animals, and don’t want to be assumed to be a pet sitter without arranging that in advance.

Communication is key to me! Having a roommate who can communicate about challenges, expectations, appreciation, & fun is important to me.
