Berkshires Sanctuary

Looking for a housemate in Becket. Short-term, month-month, to a year. A beautiful, old, recently restored, small homestead with lots of animals and peace. The house is about 1900 square feet with a big barn that could be used for some storage.

Fully furnished. Chef’s kitchen (literally), 2 full bathrooms, streams, laundry, huge heirloom garden, barn, broadband, ac, super relaxed and happy house. The 1755 house was completely restored 2 years ago. Given all the animals-particularly the livestock-more animals are unlikely but we can talk.

20 minutes to Pittsfield, 16 minutes to Lenox, less than 30 to Great Barrington. The Berkshires without the crowds.

Your room is fully furnished with a queen bed and has one of the only closets in the house. There are two full bathrooms, one of which would be your primary bathroom to use. It is the quieter of the bedrooms with the stream and the birds present and peaceful.

I am a chef by trade and am building a home-based business. I am respectful, gentle, hard-working and a homebody. I’d like someone who fits in: appreciates the house and all its about, who works hard, is willing to pitch in and who has a life of their own but who also loves being home and sharing life with good people. I’m looking for someone who loves the idea of a very old house as sanctuary in the woods.

This is a sober house. You don’t need to be sober. However, limited alcohol is permitted. Zero weed or anything else is permitted here.

I’d like a reference or two. Upfront would be your first and last months’ rent, no formal deposit.
